Meet the Coaches

Nik Johnson

Nik comes from a boxing and rugby background both as a competitor and coach.  Unfortunatley two broken legs and months of rehabilitation ended his playing days prematurely.

Before embarking on a career within fitness I was a quality assurance manager within an electronics company, so I understand the requirement for attention to detail. It is this attention to detail I have brought to the fitness industry.  I became a Personal Trainer after undergoing rehabilitation for a severe rugby injury as my interest in helping others acheive their health and fitness goals was sparked by the treatment I received.  Like Gez I have also worked as a freelance Quality Assurance Assessor for various fitness companies ensuring that new instructors are attaining the desired levels of knowledge and practical experience.

Like many youngsters I very much enjoyed sports and physical activity. I started gymnastics at a very young age and continued with it for many years competing up to national level. I then moved into martial arts, again to a competitive level in both Wado Ryu karate and kickboxing.  I then moved into what people now know as ‘extreme sports’ (I hate that phrase) mainly skateboarding, eventually getting sponsored and competing throughout the country. I have an interest in the paleo movement, both through diet and also physical activities, I believe we don’t need to overcomplicate the art of fitness, instead keep it simple, varied and most of all FUN.

Functional fitness is my new hobby and lifestyle which allows me to keep doing what I’ve always done.

Jordan Poole

I am very much a big sport and fitness fan who is currently having withdrawl symptoms from competition. Having been a keen rugby player since the age of nine, however a major ankle injury has forced me to hang up my boots and left me hobbieless. Health, fitness and conditioning had now become my new hobby and from watching others meet each workout head on has inspired me to get involved in the action. I have worked at various centres as an instructor and Personal Trainer, however never seen as much blood, sweat and tears spilled as I have with CFS. Keep up the good work guys!
